Good news all round
It’s been a great week here at Hempsons and we’re delighted to announce a number of exciting developments.
Firstly we have the fantastic news that Michael Rourke has become a partner. Michael will take a leading role in the firm’s healthcare commercial service out of our London office. He regularly advises on challenging contracting and regulatory issues facing health and social care organisations going through periods of difficulty or change, NHS mergers, integrated care and other projects, transactions and governance issues.
On Tuesday of this week The Times launched their Top 200 Law Firms report, describing Hempsons as “the country’s biggest specialist health and social care legal practice.”
Following on from that news, yesterday the Chambers Guide to the Legal Profession confirmed the latest Legal 500 rankings (reported on Wednesday this week), placing Hempsons firmly at the top of the rankings for healthcare law and defendant clinical negligence. Hempsons is the ONLY firm ranked top by both directories in these two key practice areas for health and social care providers, commissioners and insurers. We were also ranked highly for medical partnerships, professional discipline and charities, further emphasising the breadth of expertise we have to offer in both the health and social care and the charities markets.
And just to recap on Tour de Law, which saw 35 members of our London team pedal the 1000 virtual km from London to Paris and back on 17th and 18th October, Hempsons finished in a consistent 15th place in all categories. The event as a whole raised a massive £82,000 for Breast Cancer Care and we are incredibly proud to have played our part in that. Well done to all who took part in all 20 firms involved.
What will next week bring for #teamhempsons?
