Stephen Hooper Successfully Defends Social Worker

Stephen Hooper, who instructed Clare Hennessy of Serjeants Inn Chambers, successfully defended a Social Worker facing allegations of misconduct and lack of competence, before a Conduct and Competence Committee of the HCPC.  The allegations faced by our client largely focused on record keeping failures, but there were also allegations of failing to complete visits to service users; failing to adequately assess risks to child service users; and failing to complete a Child in Need Review.  Following a week-long hearing at the Health and Care Professions Tribunals Service (HCPTS), our client was found not guilty of misconduct or lack of competence, and the case was closed with no further action.
