Chris Langford

Chris is a Senior Solicitor within Hempson’s corporate and commercial team and assists the team and clients on a varied and broad range of dispute resolution matters with particular focus on property litigation and commercial litigation. Chris advises on matters from start to finish including pre-action and where there are ongoing court proceedings, he has a particular focus on early settlement and alternative dispute resolution to save clients the legal and time costs and uncertainty of trial.

In respect of commercial litigation, his main areas of expertise include commercial contract disputes, disputes involving the sale and supply of goods and services, partnership disputes and employment disputes litigated in the civil courts.

In respect of property litigation, Chris regularly acts in matters ranging from lease renewal proceedings, service charge disputes, break options, dilapidations and tenant arrears and breaches of covenant. Chris also regularly advises in respect of residential landlord and tenant matters with a particular focus on advising Social Care Organisations and Landlords on possession matters against tenants.

Chris joined Hempsons in September 2020, following completion of his training contract at a Legal 500 listed law firm based in Harrogate. From his previous role, Chris obtained experience in acting for both individual and commercial clients across a broad range of dispute matters.
