Winner of the University of Cambridge Faculty of Law Hempsons Prize for Law, Medicine and Life Sciences announced

The Hempsons Prize for Law, Medicine and Life Sciences 2021 has been awarded to Dino Muratbegovic.

Dino, who graduated in July 2021, was studying for an LLM (Master of Laws), a course which offers students the opportunity to pursue their legal studies at an advanced level in a challenging and supportive environment. He was awarded the prize for achieving the best first class result for his Law, Medicine and Life Sciences LLM paper. Dino said “I was surprised and delighted to hear I had been awarded the Hempsons Prize, as it was a course and subject I enjoyed a great deal.”

The Faculty of Law at Cambridge has a centuries-long tradition of being at the forefront of legal scholarship and of making major contributions to the formation and development of legislation and public policy in the United Kingdom and beyond. In 2020 the Faculty ranked second in the Times Higher Education World Rankings, preceded only by Stanford University.

Partner Elizabeth Thomas, who studied Natural Sciences at Cambridge, commented “This is the first year we have sponsored this award and we are delighted to have the opportunity to collaborate with such a prestigious academic organisation. It is a privilege to be able to encourage those at the start of their legal profession and to raise awareness of our niche but fascinating area of law.”
