Stewart Gregory

Stewart has had a long career advising a wide range of NHS clients on all aspects of their real estate transactions. Prior to qualifying as a solicitor in 2000, Stewart was an architect and brings his in-depth property knowledge to his legal practice. His clients have included primary care commissioners, ambulance trusts, acute trusts, community health trusts, local authorities, GPs and various charities.

Stewart has advised on a number of large-scale NHS projects, including NHS LIFT, Transforming Community Services, ambulance service estate rationalisation, PPP projects with local authorities, leasing arrangements for headquarter offices, and a number of GP health centre developments.

With many years’ experience of NHS work he has a good knowledge of the NHS framework in which property projects have to be delivered. A LIFT project director described Stewart as someone with a “can-do approach to finding solutions to problems that may otherwise stall a project.”

Stewart’s work for GPs includes the development of new facilities by both third-party developer schemes and by own development.

Stewart also provides real estate advice to charity clients. For some years he has acted for a large national charity on a number of significant projects, including the development of two new specialist schools and the disposal of surplus properties. He also undertakes private sector commercial development work.

Stewart runs training sessions for GPs and estate managers and writes on topics affecting NHS property work.

Injury now prevents me from doing as much as I would like but I am still an active committee member of my local running club and have won silver and bronze medals at County cross country championships. I am also a parkrun tourist and regularly volunteer at various events.
