Robert McCartney

Robert is an associate in the corporate commercial team who specialises in advising primary and community care providers.

He has a history of working in-house within the NHS including at a community trust, a large-scale GP practice, and an urgent care provider, and has built a practice advising practitioners on developing working at scale services including GP federations, Primary Care Networks (PCNs) and practice mergers.

This support has included advising on the formation and incorporation of new provider entities, the development of NHS contracts, advising on commissioner relationships, implementing corporate and clinical governance systems, and providing regular support to both shareholders and directors.

He has also worked with other clinicians and businesses looking to develop their relationships with the NHS. This has included ophthalmologists, physiotherapists and clinical pharmacists. This work has included support during procurement processes, advising on their structures and governance systems.

Robert enjoys working with people looking to implement innovative ideas and ways of working to improve the patient experience and to help sustainability of practices, including charities, social enterprises and med-tech solutions.
