We are delighted to announce a new partner and several associate promotions, providing a major boost to our healthcare advisory, healthcare litigation, commercial and real estate teams.

With effect from 1st January 2021, Jessica Neary has become a partner in the Manchester office. Jessica joined Hempsons in our healthcare litigation team in 2013 having previously practised as a claimant solicitor. Jessica predominantly acts for the NHS in litigation involving a wide range of medical issues including spinal and birth injuries.

Manchester based Healthcare Advisory partner James Down has been appointed as Head of Inquests North. James is a vastly experienced advocate who regularly represents the interests of organisations and individuals in complicated and high profile inquests.

Also in Manchester, healthcare experts Elspeth Rose and Jennifer Hovington are now associates.

In London, real estate’s Myles Evans and Kirsty Odell in the commercial department become associates, whilst in Harrogate Emma Summerfield has been promoted to associate in the healthcare litigation team.
