Regulation of Notifiable Diseases

From the 5 March 2020, Covid-19 was added to the list notifiable infectious diseases under the Health Protection (Notification) Regulations 2010. Registered medical practitioners have a statutory duty to notify the ‘proper officer’ at their local council or local health protection team of suspected cases of certain infectious diseases.
