Kathleen Wilson

Since 1992 Kathleen has specialised in defending clinical negligence cases on behalf of the NHS. She has been responsible for training and supervision within teams since 1996. She was one of the original nominated partners appointed by NHS Resolution and has worked in that capacity both for over well over 20 years.

She has been at the cutting edge of developments throughout this time being involved in the first NHS funded structured settlements in the 1990s through to modern day PPOs.  

Kathleen principally handles cases of maximum severity and complexity including those where babies have acquired cerebral palsy due to their mother allegedly receiving negligent obstetric care. She has worked on many cases where multi million pound or periodical payment orders have been awarded. Kathleen has handled a number of very sensitive cases e.g. involving child protection issues and sexual assault. She also deals with complex cases for example involving considering/advise re the extent of duty of care, non-delegable duty and the chain of causation/intervening acts. 

She has also advised in regard to consent and confidentiality, serious untoward incidents, homicide inquiries, child protection and complex inquests.
